Andreas Christoph Weber

Andreas Ch. Weber works since March 2011 in the Sport and Society Division of the Swiss Federal Institute of Sport Magglingen SFISM. The SFISM is an applied University located in Switzerland. It is part of the Federal Office of Sport FOSPO. He studied at the University of Bern history, sports science and economics and graduated in 2010. He was part of the national rowing team and has played in the National League B floorball. He specializes in the Swiss elite sport system comparing and benchmarking it other nations. He started his dissertation in 2013 at the VUB. In his PhD, he researches on the development of the outcome of competition between nations at the Winter Olympic Games since 1988. Furthermore he analyses the strategic positioning of nations at the Winter Games by targeting certain sports and disciplines.
